Tigerlily Foundation is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit women’s health and oncology organization dedicated to empowering young women (15-50) before, during, and after cancer. Through education, advocacy, and hands-on support, we aim to transform the cancer journey into one of hope and empowerment. Our mission is to inspire young women to live their best lives, become advocates for change, and work toward a future where cancer no longer defines their destiny. Together, we strive to end disparities and promote wellness as a lifelong priority.

Tigerlily Foundation’s SPARK Clinical Trials Center of Excellence advances equitable access to cancer clinical trials by connecting education, navigation, and community partnership across the research journey.

Tigerlily Foundation is proud to honor Dr. Vanessa B. Sheppard with the Lori L. Wilson Trailblazer Award at our 20th Anniversary EmPOWER Ball.
Throughout her career, Dr. Sheppard has worked at the intersection of cancer prevention, health disparities, community-engaged research, and academic leadership, helping strengthen the systems and institutions that shape health outcomes. Now serving as Dean of the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Institute of Public Health at Florida A&M University, her career includes more than $30 million in competitive research funding and over 150 peer-reviewed publications, alongside extensive work in mentorship, community engagement, and expanding participation in clinical research. Wilson Trailblazer Award celebrates a pioneering leader whose groundbreaking contributions have opened new pathways toward health equity, dismantled systemic barriers, and expanded access to compassionate, inclusive care. Dr. Sheppard’s commitment to advancing cancer research, health equity, and opportunities for the next generation of healthcare leaders reflects the spirit of this recognition.
