She’s a survivor who credits God\, supportive family and friends\, and an extreme will to live through her diagnosis. After going through that journey\, Maricia is now an active advocate for her community educating others about breast cancer and also being that person to go to if anyone should ever need it. Carter\, Jr. of 26 years\, and have two children\, Alexus and James\, III.\n\nAs a 10 year Breast Cancer Survivor\, co-owner of Sisters 4 Life\, LLC apparel company and published author\, Purposeful Poetry\, Tasha has always had a passion for poetry and started writing at 10 years old. Her love for writing grew stronger in 2011 when she was diagnosed with Stage 0 and Stage 1 Breast Cancer. She used poetry to help heal the wounds of her diagnosis and treatment and inspire others to keep their faith and never give up hope.         \n        \n            \n    \n        \n\n\n        \n                \n        \n    \n    \n        \n                    \n                                     Kellie Goss\, ANGEL Advocate                             \n                        \n             Kellie is an Army veteran turned breast + ovarian cancer advocate currently residing in Atlanta\, Georgia. She is also a BRCA1 previvor and the daughter of a two-time breast cancer survivor. In 2018\, after discovering that she carried the BRCA gene mutation\, Kellie opted to have a prophylactic mastectomy and hysterectomy to mitigate the risk. Kellie earned her doctoral degree from Grand Canyon University in Organizational Leadership. She shares her BRCA1 journey in the hopes that women of color will see themselves represented when making informed decisions about breast and ovarian health\, early detection\, and genetic counseling.         \n        \n            \n    \n        \n\n\n        \n                \n        \n    \n    \n        \n                    \n                                     Maricia Cole\, ANGEL Advocate                             \n                        \n             Maricia\, of Los Angeles\, CA is a young adult (under age 40) survivor of stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer\, diagnosed at the age of 36. She’s a survivor who credits God\, supportive family and friends\, and an extreme will to live through her diagnosis. After going through that journey\, Maricia is now an active advocate for her community educating others about breast cancer and also being that person to go to if anyone should ever need it. Additionally\, she is a writer who emphasizes health and wellness through her blog Confessions of a Nurse Practitioner. She has authored the CANspiration Journal\, an inspirational journal specifically for patients fighting cancer. With her experience in oncology\, primary care and women’s health she enjoys imparting knowledge in an engaging and practical way.
